As you probably know, the Heroes Season 2 DVD will be available on August 26th (pre-orders available). Can't wait until then? 'Heroes: Season Two' Will Mark the Studio's First Global Event Release

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., April 17 - Universal Studios Home Entertainment revealed its initial lineup of film and television properties arriving later this year on Blu-ray(TM) Disc, day and date with DVD, it was announced today by Craig Kornblau, President, Universal Studios Home Entertainment and Universal Pictures Digital Platforms. Marking the rollout of the studio's first global release on Blu-ray(TM) will be the "Heroes: Season Two," which will debut beginning August 26, 2008.

The highly anticipated premier of the sophomore season of NBC's "Heroes" will be buoyed by the simultaneous debut of "Heroes Season One" on Blu-ray(TM).

There is currently no specific information regarding the contents of these Blu-ray discs. (No specs or extras info, nor any indication of whether 'Heroes: Season One' will be a direct port of the previous DVD release, or if it will be optimized for Blu-ray.) Stay tuned...

Heroes-Clues Banner Contest

We have a bunch of fun Heroes goodies from some very cool people, and it's time to start giving it away to some dedicated fans!

Our first contest involves creating a new banner for the Heroes-Clues site.
Banner specifications and contest details:

• Send your banner(s), along with your name and email address to HeroesClues@gmail.com.
• All banners must be submitted by Friday, October 12th, 2007.
• Banner must comply with the current banner size (Width: 550px, Height: 150px).
• Banners must feature the words 'Heroes Clues' ('-','360', and 'Evolutions' are optional).
• Banners stolen from other sites are obviously not acceptable.
• You may submit more than one banner.
• Winner will be notified via email, and postal address will be requested (to receive the prize). If the winner does not respond within 7 days, the prize goes to the next runner-up.

The submitted banners will be posted, and readers will be able to vote for their favorite.

What will be the reward for all of your hard work? Well, the winning banner will be displayed on the site. Plus, the winner will have his/her choice between a Heroes Season One DVD set or a prize package that includes a official limited edition Heroes comic book (full size, not a mini-comic), a Vote Petrelli pin, and a helix temporary tattoo.

Everyone is eligible (well, except for me, of course).
I know that some of you have already submitted emails requesting to be a contributor here at the site. Since I have not yet officially announced the details of that, and therefore not yet chosen anyone, you are all eligible to enter the contests. So please do! :-)

Choose one of the IM Bots (the choices are Peter Petrelli and Hiro Nakamura. Engage the HERO in conversation.

Video clip from un-aired pilot; NYC World Tour Info

More DVD preview goodness:
Take a peek at the un-aired pilot of the show with this new video clip, which shows Matt Parkman offering to help track down a terrorist cell with his power. Don't forget to order your Heroes Season One DVD boxed set, being released next Tuesday, August 28th.

On the day of the release, the Heroes World Tour will be holding a signing event in New York. We now have official confirmed details:

The event will be held at the NBC Experience Store in Rockefeller Center, starting at 9 a.m. In attendance will be Noah Gray-Cabey (Micah), James Kyson Lee (Ando), Zachery Quinto (Sylar) and Dania Ramierz (Maya), along with co-executive producer and writer Jeph Loeb and artist Tim Sale. They’ll be signing copies of the Heroes Season 1 DVD and other show merchandise.

This recently released clip is from the special features part on the DVD. In this clip, Heroes visual effects supervisor Mark Kolpack talks about the common bond he and Heroes star Masa Oki share -- a background in special effects.

Heroes Challenge 3: Skin Your MySpace Profile

The third installment of the Heroes Challenge is up:
The first screen prompts you to enter your name and e-mail address.

It then provides you with HTML code to add to your MySpace profile, which gives your page a skin with a Heroes theme, which looks like the following:
The reward for your MySpace transformation: 'an email with never-before-seen, exclusive Season 1 DVD content.'

New deleted scene from DVD - "Fallout"

Heroes Challenge up and running, DVD Sweepstakes
