Ok you might disagree with this answer and you might not but the answer i got to the second question is 12. The reason being is because that even though Kensei was married ten time the question asked how many times has he loved. If you take the question to a literal sense then Yaeko would be his first love then the ten brides and lastly the newset bride that is said to "rescue" Adam. Add them up and that is 12
