Graphic Novel #76: Pieces of Me

If you die in your dreams do you die in real life?

Ryan Covington's recurring dream consists of a series of bizarre images, but each night it ends the same way... with his own death. Is it possible his dream is trying to tell him something? Maybe a visit from Sanjog Iyer will help clear things up.

This novel is related to one of the dreams that were submitted to the Dream Study on the Activating Evolution Site...when you go to the site and look up the dream submissions, the one posted by "Ryan C" (Ryan Covington, same name from the story)is an exact description of the graphic novel posted today

I knew that some of the dreams were fixed! Oh, and that description is longer now for that dream.

doesn't make that novel any less useless :p

I agree that this one is not nearly as interesting as many of the ones directly connected to the main characters, but it does have some relevance to the online stuff.

My guess is that they are steering away from any of the main plot b/c the series won't start up again until Sept.

At least we have this stuff to tide us over until the new season starts.

Sorry about the double-post, not sure why that happened...

Uh... This title was "borrowed" from the Matrix. Quite directly. Does this count as an homage?

I translated the latin from the description from the dream submission

“inceptum” = beginning

For the second one, this is the best I could do:

"Sumo iam. Vicis est cado" = Change now. Time is to fall.

Based on both the GN and the dream description, and also the "dark side" of him saying "Sumo iam. Vicis est cado", My guess is that Ryan has a power much like Niki's. His Darker side is telling him to change now, let him take control, because time is about to change. Something big is going to happen and he'll need his "darker side" to help him. When Ryan doesn't respond, his "darker side" kills him.

That's just my guess though.

Sorry for the double post. I also think that the letters "PS" are going to be part of the code to access Ryan's tracker profile in the future.

why would they add more to his post on the activating evolution site? and hes wearing a 3 leaf clover does that mean hes irish?

I think Ryan's dream is a desrcription of what his power may be (if he has one) and its probably a power pertaining to luck. The number 7 comes up in the GN and the dream description plenty of times. Also i think when his girlfriend died in the car accident that if he was in the car with her, his power probably could've prevented his death. Thats why i believe that at the end of his dream he sees himself killing himself in a sense. He might've felt a great deal of grief and guilt that his GF died and he didnt because maybe his "luck" prevented that......but then again its just a thought...

i also think he have some power like nicky..but i don´t think is a dark side in thi case.
the latin prashe, that i traducted as "take on now. time is to perish" seem to say more as "do someting" that "let me do it".
the novel take a side saying he uderstand it as to enjoy his own life.
meaby ryan has no power, but he just happen to have significant dreams
Dr. Suresh had some of them if u recall, with the same boy apearing
