RD monastery manuscript in Corinthian archives
Nicki, Mike, and Arafel for reporting a new update over at Linderman's archives:
On the page displaying the Gitelman family tree (use Micah's instructions from yesterday to get in), and there's what looks like a yellow Post-It note which says: "Refer to RD monastery in manuscripts"
There is also a new comment from Micah: "Still wondering who the question marks belong to? I just found out. Follow the note."
Click on "Manuscripts" in the sidebar on the right.
Type in "RD monastery" into the search bar.
There is a new image, here is the direct link.
Micah also suggests checking in again tomorrow.
ETA - There is also a new email from Hana, titled "Another File Found":
My friend Micah has broken thru to a new level of Linderman's Archives - unlocking a new level by the day that's pertinent to the mission at hand:...and a new text message:
Finding out the true nature of the company.
Check out where he got today @ www.corinthianlasvegas.com.
Follow my lead.
Thanks,
HG

Hana's image is still looking pretty fuzzy. I wonder if Micah might be taking her place if she vanishes.
DUUUUUUUDE!! I'm from Buenos Aires! Let me translate this in a sec.
They couldn't use a font like Times New Roman and make it easier for us, noooo...
Our holy sanctuary, Monasterio de la Cruz, is dedicated to protect the human right to survive, a needed right for every blessed child of the world. This document states that Don Rueker (sp?), who was left orphan in Germany and found surviving in the forest, has found shelter under our roof. Dr. Ruekeris is oficially a son of Sevilla, and of our Monastery of the Cruz, but he was taken to Buenos Aires, Argentina for his safety. Love is eternal, and so is our protection. It hasn't left me.
The last sentence could also mean 'it/he/she hasn't allowed me', but it's a bit confusing, neither meaning have anything to do with the rest of the document :S The german soldier in Hana's tree was called Rooikjer, and Rueker sounds similar in spanish. There is a logo in the bottom which says NO8DO, and the 8 looks like a knot, which is NUDO in spanish.
Ok, that's all I could get from it, I hope I helped!
Great translation, Phreack! Thanks so much for it.
Anyone else wonder if this monastery is somehow connected to that secret brotherhood that were in the exclusive graphic novel?
Whoa, I got so excited that I made a lot of typos :P
I'll be glad to help as soon as I can if more of these show up.
Good point, Michael, I hadn't thought of that. They certainly had the look of something that could be described as a monastery.
It's hard to tell if it's Rueker or Rucker because the e's and c's are very similar. . . . just wanted to mention that as another possible option.
Anyone else notice that the monastery script is 3 of 7? The other scripts could be what Micah will find.
yeah, I hope that we get to view those other documents.
nice that we are getting new stuff more often.
NO8DO is Sevilles motto. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seville#Motto
So, just summing up what you already said, the last sentence is "He/She/It hasn't left me" that is the motto in the rebus form "no me ha dejado":
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seville#Motto
Bests from Italy,
Paolo
"no me ha dejado"
"-hasn't left me"
as for who hasn't left it isn't easy to figure out... it could be male or female, but if it is a motto that a monastery is using it may mean God. like you are speaking directly to him and saying: "You haven't left me" i think it is in the present tense.
As for Don Rueker, why was he sent away for his protection? and is it possible it was for the monastery's protection... is it just graspping at straws if i wonder if there isn any relation to Maya and Alejandro?
It's definitley NOT the group we saw in the Bonus Graphic Novel. All that was, was a fraternity. If you read it again, you'll notice Derek talking about it. That list was just what they had to do to get in. ;)
Mr.,
I'm not so sure about that. One thing that Heroes does a lot is show how everything in the story is connected (I cite Nathan and Claire as a prime example here). I'm not saying that the fraternity and the monastery are exactly the same thing, but that perhaps the fraternity, which looked way more substantial and strange in the novel than just some random Skull n Bones situation, has it roots in practices or people from this monastery. After all, there wouldn't be any reason to show the fraternity if it didn't have some significance to the plot; there's very little if anything that;s truly random in Heroes.
After looking over the picture several times, I think the letter says Rucker and not Rueker, if you look carefully and even do some zooming, the e's seem to have more of a loop, whereas in the c's the lines seem to be a little closer, on either case, the spanish pronunciation of 'Rucker' would be 'Rooker'
and i might be going on a limb here, but, in saying "No me ha dejado" the author might even be talking of Rucker. and even farther on that limb, maybe this Rucker character might have the disease that Maya Bares. again, thats just two other perspectives if you will.
It hasn't left me could also refer to the writer's ability. He/She could have had an episode where it seemed to disappear, like Hiro or Peter.
What do you guys think about the cowboy and the cows and the book that is titled Nuestro Futuro?
If you look carefully, the S logo is in the cowboy pic and the bicycle pic. I couldn't find it in the soccer pic, however. The predominantly red Nuestro Futuro (Our Future) pic makes me think of Communism in Cuba (especially in the 1970s).
The soccer pic is loaded with the S logo, all of them are in the sky and clouds, just like in the other two pics. Could have some significance I think that the symbol always appears in the sky in these three pics.
I'd say there is a good connection between the frat and the monastery. The monastery takes in Don Rucker (or Rueker), which could be shortened to Drucker. The fraternity in the Rogue graphic novel had a portrait of a man. The name is partially obscured, but you can make out Druc and possibly part of a k.
I don't know if anyone has pointed this out yet, but Derek and Rick do go down to Mexico at the end of the special graphic novel. I may be mistaken, but wasn't the guy who escaped with Maya and Alejandro driving a Rogue?
They also still have part two of their mission to be initiated, so we can probably expect a part two to this novel in the future.
