New post from Hiro - Old School Fun & Games

A new post is available in Hiro's blog. The title of the blog post is Old School Fun & Games:

I've known my father for most of my life, and I never knew him to be a fun-and-games kind of man. You know, he was more of a stoic, imposing, implacable, unimpeachable kind of guy. But fun?

So yesterday, Kenjiro's pet cricket Aiko went on walkabout. Being very attached to Aiko, who's suffering from restless legs syndrome, Kenjiro went to great lengths to find her, and was crawling around the ducts for most of the day. Finally, he found Aiko, sleeping on top of what looks like an old school game cartridge, unmarked. I didn't think it was anything. But Ando, as usual, thought otherwise. Game boy that he is, he cranked up the emulator -- and what do you know? There was a game in there! We've got it rigged up so you can try it.

Space Race Game

Ando thinks this game must have been put together in the late '80s, based on the code. Obviously, my father was alive at that time and so not a game player. Ando suggested that he may have used the game to stash some sensitive information. So me, Kenjiro and Ando have been hammering on the Cowboy, but so far nothing. Can you give it a try? Let me know what you come up with.

Oh, and before I forget, were you able to make anything out of all those numbers I wrote about in my last blog? We're still stumped over here.

What are they really doing here? Where did she go? And will Claude find out why Thompson lied to them about what the mission really is?

New post from Hiro - Numbers Numbers Everywhere

A new post is available in Hiro's blog. The title of the blog post is Numbers Numbers Everywhere:

Much as I prefer to keep my brain tidy and my thinking concise, I have found myself obsessing over the malevolent mentalist, Maury Parkman. To that end, I took a second look at his AT profile, and I noticed a numerical sequence I hadn't noticed before. Luckily, Ando and Kenjiro are still hard at work on the Danger Room database between their marathon games of Call of Duty. After several hours, we found a document that includes both numbers, which appears to be one page of many from Agent Eric Thompson, Sr.'s personnel file. Here it is:

Yeah, that's a lot of numbers, alright. We're going to start the process of checking them out right after lunch. In the meantime, if you come up with any leads in terms of what this all could mean, please ping. I know it all may seem a little tangential, but I'm sure we're getting closer to something big.

New post from Hiro - Memories of Maury

A new post is available in Hiro's blog. The title of the blog post is Memories of Maury:

Thanks for your help in unlocking Maury's AT profile. I was curious as to how and why he first came to The Company, so I poked around 1978. Figured Angela and the gang must have had some kind of post-mortem on the Mindy incident. Lo and behold, there was Maury! Looks like Linderman brought him into the fold.

Back on February 7th, 1978, Company brass opened a conversation on tracking specials, in the aftermath of Mindy and Ted's disappearance. Ando input the info we got out of Maury's AT profile into the Danger Room database, and came up with a few odds and ends, see below.

If you ask me, this is the moment that changed the whole game, whether The Company knew it or not. It certainly doesn't seem like they considered the long-term, real-world implications of tracking us. Doublethink, anyone? Anyway, it's a provocative new thread, which may yield important answers about the past.

Profile for Maury Parkman

The profile for Maury Parkman is available in the Primatech Assignment Tracker. You can find him at profile A011
The username is: bennet
The password is: MPapm05ap

[Thanks to Matt and SaveZach for reporting this password. It appeared at the end of the video in today's blog post from Hiro.]

His profile indicates that he is a Caucasian American male born on June 4, 1943 in St. Philadelphia, PA. His last known location is Fort Lee, NJ. She is described as 285 lbs, 5' 0'' with an endomorph build, fair complexion, and bald with gray hair on sides; sometimes with mustache and goatee. There are no scars or marks listed, nor any occupation. His known aliases are: Mike Harvey, Matthew Parkman, Micky Parkman, Micky Pinkman, and Sam Pollard.

His ability is confirmed as "Telepathy" which is classified as a cerebral ability: "Reads and controls thoughts of others. Can inflict scalable levels of mental and physical pain. Can block mental intrusion. Total extent of ability unknown. Utilize all precautions during contact."

His Personal History (much is blacked out):

Fleeing ahead of the Nazis, the Parkmans [formerly Parczak] settled in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in early April of 1943. Maury was born shortly thereafter. Father became dock worker, limited income. Public school education, below average performance. Free time spent doing odd jobs around Delaware River docks, in order to contribute to household income.

Shortly after graduating high school, Maury gained employment as a junior tug boat operator, tenure lasting approximately two years. It was during this interim that his ability may have manifested, per an increasingly spotty service record. After one particular incident of insubordination, which nearly resulted in the sinking of a commercial barge, Maury was fired. Several days after this incident, Maury introduced himself to the first four at Uncle Ira's, July 12. 1963.

Parkman immigrated to Los Angeles as point person of West Coast Ops in January of 1966. After a brief liaison, he married Lillian, pregnant with son Matt, b. June 10, 1968 [see AT file C002]. During this period, the senior Parkman was said to have gained greater control over his ability, utilizing his powers strictly on the job. Parkman was killed at Pinehearst on March 26, 2007; Arthur Petrelli was witnessed breaking Parkman's neck, leaving no physical evidence by Daphne Millbrook.
His Psychological Profile:
Although the exact details of Maury Parkman's history are the subject of some contention due to lengthy periods off the grid, it would appear that the seeds of Parkman's previously documented APD [see Psych file PMP06] were seeded in childhood. Unconfirmed sources indicate that Maury's mother Edith may have possessed an undocumented evolved ability. Suffering from what would now would be clearly diagnosed as post-partum depression, Edith failed to learn the English language, and was highly agoraphobic. The Haitian reports that in a drunken moment, Parkman once confessed that his mother never revealed her ability to anyone but him (including her husband), while subjecting him to what could only be deemed excruciating mental anguish, i.e. inducing alternate realities and individuals into the mind of her son, beginning at the age of three.

A pattern of acute sociopathy seems to begin manifesting during Parkman's tenure as tug boat operator, although it took more than a decade for Psych to collect enough data for full diagnosis [see Psych file PMP06]. During the early years, Maury's considerable malicious streak was considered utilitarian (and perhaps even nurtured), per overall directive.

New post from Hiro - More Strange Video

A new post is available in Hiro's blog. The title of the blog post is More Strange Video:

So Ando convinced me to delay my second trip back to TMI, advising me to comb the Danger Room for any material on Adam Monroe. So far, the only thing I came up with was this video:

The videotape has a handwritten note: AM: Send M/P007. Could this be a reference to Maury Parkman, father of Matt? I know that Maury Parkman was one of the Company founders, per the one photo I have of the Original 12.
Check it out:

Even though I know that Maury Parkman is no longer on this earth, I have to admit, I'm still a little scared of the guy. He has the kind of ability that knows no bounds, and from what Matt has told me, his father was truly a cruel and unpredictable man. Anyway, back to work. There must be some kind of AT profile on this guy...
